Sleepy sunday…

Sleep is nice. Whoever says differently shall surely be punished! I loved having a whole day to relax, even if sleeping only for a short bit at a time, I still feel quite nice now that I am awake again.

In general things are well here and I just had a good dinner consisting of cooked rice, carrots, mushrooms and chicken legs. It’s a unique taste, but noted that we need to spice that chicken more, hehe.

On the sadder note, my mom had a task for me tomorrow – I got to take one of her cats in to the vet to have him humanely euthanized. He is getting sick and mom just discovered how bad it is. Exactly what it is, I don’t know. My mom was not happy to talk about it. Oh well. It got to be done, sadly enough…

I’ll be up all night to try and get my sleep schedule back on track.

Day and night.

Another night, another post.

The past week has been rather awful to be honest, but last night and tonight, I actually feel quite a bit better. Must’ve been a problem with my medication, I guess. Oh well all is well now, except that I STILL sleep during the day and am awake during the night. I really need to fix that.

Beyond that, things are the same here. We managed to get money back from a trip Illys made earlier this month, so now we got money for food for the last week of the month. Hurray!

Oh and my mom had her examination. Things went well and she will be admitted to the hospital Tuesday for operation Wednesday morning. Please keep her in your prayers. I think this will be a huge relief for her and for us too.

Oh and now it is time for me to make something to eat for dinner. Maybe beef stake (licks lips)

Braving the waters.

Sleep is a problem. I sleep the oddest times of the day and today I had the chance to fix that, but didn’t communicate that well enough to Jen, so I only got to sleep for 4 hours…

Well we did get some things done today. Went to see my mom and relax a bit with her.

I have a hard time getting to terms with him not being here in these months, but I think I am doing better than last year. At least I am feeling refreshed from doing this.

Beyond that, there isn’t really much to say. I got my camera home again and will be experimenting with some night shots sometime within the next few weeks. I got some ideas I want to try out, and this camera I got, can do that.

Keep my mom in your prayers. She is having serious trouble with her uterus and needs it removed. I pray that tomorrow, when she goes in for another examination, that they will either take her in and do the operation right away or at least give her a date. This is eating her up.

Oh yeah and keep Jen in your prayers too. Dentist tomorrow… Do I need to say more? Well both her and my wallet needs prayer for this, actually.

Sleeping… Or not…

Winter has shown itself here. No we do not have a winter landscape covered with snow and all, but rather dark gray days, where it is easy to get down or depressed. And what is even worse, I have messed up my sleep schedule so much that I am sleeping during the few daylight hours we have now. It is not good, even if I am trying to keep my mood up.

Right now things are a bit rough for me. Economy is tight as always, but also having problems with sleep, doesn’t help. I try and keep up a happy face to the world, but it is not how my mind feel right now. I don’t know what I need to get out of this hole, I have landed myself in, but I wish I could find something soon.

I have good friends who try and cheer me up and I try and crack a smile when they attempt, but it just isn’t helping much at all. Actually today I manged to get carried away and probably annoy two of them online. It is not good.

I keep thinking about my dad, how things were, how I miss being able to walk down to my mom and chat and play with the cats… Dad has been dead for over 1 1/2 year now and my mom is rarely home anymore, and when she is, my brother takes all her attention if he can. My dear wife is the only thing keeping me out of just going all crazy here. She is a great support for me and always ready to spend time with me. I can’t say how happy I am for that.

Well another day threatens. You can see from the timestamp what time it is here. I will do what I can to stay up for a long time and see if I can’t change my sleep pattern somehow.

Busy time!

Wow… It’s been a rather busy time for me the past few weeks! I have been working quite a bit for the local newspaper, helping them with a lot of network problems and issues with file-sharing. Oh and I have been trying hard to avoid the TV too. Election time here for the parliament (ARG! How in the world do you SPELL that!? Thank God for spell checker…) and you know what? I HATE election time! People get all worked up over these things and the politicians start to throw mud and flowers – by the truck load at each other if not the voters… Eeeek! Well I did decide on who I want to vote for, so at least I can do my duty tomorrow afternoon… Continue reading Busy time!…

Server upgrade

We’ve been down for approximately 10 min from 11:15 to 11:25 CET today. The reason was that I finally managed to get hold of a new UPS for the server. Was heavily needed after the old UPS started to complain about battery replacement and it was way to expensive to buy a new battery pack for it, not to mention halfway impossible since it was rather old… But now we have a new UPS up and running and the server should once more be secured against power outages or current fluctuations. Oh and this one also protects the network from outside problems before they fry the ADSL modem, heh.

I ALSO got hold of a GBit switch for internal use (got nothing to do with you guys but hey. I gota boast now and then) which means that I can finally use the GBit capability of my iMac, PBook and the server. Really nice to have files go through the network that much faster.

Halloween

Time to sit down and write once again.

As some of you might have noticed, I’ve been rather productive with music, the past week. Well that is mostly do to that my mood has been rather odd to be honest.

The past few days I’ve been in a deep funk, after my mom was admitted to the hospital with an infection or poisoning. They now have things under control and she looks a lot better. Turns out that it might have been a poisoning caused by some of her medications messing up with each other. Bad move when that happens.

Well today we went out to Odense and visited Egrimm and Britta. Had lots of fun with them, talking, having dinner together and a few drinks. Was really relaxing.

Well I had better get to bed here. If I’m lucky I can get 6 hours of sleep, before I got to go to work.
