HD crash

At 9:21am saturday, I discovered a problem with the system drive on the server. The problem could not be corrected, so I had to install a new drive. That happened after just spending all night, transfering data from old drives over to a new storage drive on the same machine.

It could all have been up 8 hours earlier, but I was so wiped, that I HAD to sleep, just putting up a temp page with a notification for you all.

Here 15 min ago, we got internet access back, after having switched the system drive, network adapter and gfx card. I still have no idea why the two later had issues since everything ells works just fine.

Again I apologize  for the inconvenience that this crash caused, but at least we had a 3 hour fresh backup!

Server cleaning

Evening everyone.

I am sorry to say that I had to take the server down for cleaning this evening, so if you haven’t been able to view your sites, that is why. Again I am sorry I did not notify you about this beforehand.

Being sick

And here I am again, ranting away… Yep as you can see from the headline, I’m sick… Got myself a nasty cold. I tell you I’d rather have the flu than a cold! That stuff lasts forever with me and got a tendency to make miserable beyond all belief. Gah!

Well on the upside, I’ve been able to spend some time fixing a computer and a few other things, that needed done, so I guess that everything can be turned to something good.

Beyond that, Jen is sick too. She’s coughing up a storm all the time, but at least she’s sounding a bit better today, so I hope she’ll be over it soon. It’s not fun listening to her coughing like she’s being choked, before she goes to bed, or during the night. Poor girl.

Well time to find a good audio book and kick back with some cola…

Furmeet!

Evening everyone and a Happy New year from me and the wife!

It’s been a while since I had time to write, but here goes!

Christmas has been a great time with relaxation and cuddling together. Jen and I had a nice quiet time at home, which we needed. It was different from how we usually celebrate Christmas, usually being with family. But this was also great!

The 26th we headed up to North Jylland to start a New Years furmeet! We had borrowed a house from one of my friends here on the road, where we live and that we looked forward to go to! Was a good 3 hour drive up there, but when we finally got there, we got kind of a chock. Going in to the house and it was like walking in to a place with a ton of dust and mold in the air (Ewww). Walking around the place, we found out that the last user (my friend’s brother) had just left the house in complete disarray and there was even shit on the floor from animals we think. Took me 2 min to survey the place and then run out again, deeming it far from usable for our purpose. We called some of the other guys and then decided to drive down to him in Aalborg to think up a plan B. Continue reading Furmeet!…
